1963, 20" x 24"
The nude female figure has been (and always will be) a staple of thrift store paintings, but I have to say that this is the sexiest and most alluring nude I've owned yet in spite of her pointy knees and gravity-defying stance. It looks like the artist gave extreme attention to detail from the waist up, and then was in such a rush to finish the painting that he cut a few corners "down below"! The complementary frame is stunning as well, and this piece has now replaced "Shelly" from Gallery IX in our basement "Gallery of Nudes".
