A new favorite that now hangs front and center at the top of the stairway to our recently remodeled upstairs. The image is fantastic, the painting style is extremely advanced (ignoring the half-dead poodle the woman appears to be clutching), the unusual framing technique is notable for the heavy-duty borders and the masonite board the whole shebang is mounted on, and most importantly, the finishing touch of sunglasses on both the sitters gives the painting just the right amount of weirdness that I generally look for.
