"The Red-Headed Jesus"

14" x 18"

I feel very fortunate to have acquired this painting for inclusion in Gallery VIII as it makes such a fine companion piece to "The Cross-Eyed Jesus" pictured above. Contrast the loose, painterly style and whimsical approach taken here with the more restrained and traditional method employed by the creator of the cross-eyed "King of Kings". Biblical scholars and Art historians have debated for centuries whether Jesus was a man full of humor and mirth as pictured above, or an intense and brooding adult as seen earlier.
