"The Prehistoric Feast"

Greenberg, 1950, 48" x 56"

By far the largest painting in my collection at almost 5' x 5'. I would love to hang this piece on the large wall above our bed, but other (more reasoned) minds seem to think otherwise..... Was this painting used as some sort of prop or decoration, or was it really created in the quest for artistic expression? One can only wonder what sort of warped mind painted this stunning beauty. A nice Jewish boy from the suburbs, or a raving madman delighting in the hunt of our defenseless porcine friends?
