"Skeletons with Green Robes Dance Joyfully in Hellfire"

1971, 24" x 30"

OK, I just have to say that the new thrift store I recently discovered on a small side street is the cat's pajamas. This secret treasure-trove is responsible for nine of the twenty paintings featured in Gallery XIII including the above piece of wonderfulness! It almost looks like the two dancing skeletons are wearing Sixties bouffant wigs, and I still can't figure out what's up with the flowing green robes, the upraised hand, and the shit-eating grins. This one was a no-argument-M'am, gotta-have-it, instantaneous purchase, and quite frankly, it scares the bejesus out of me!
